JING tea celebrates Afternoon Tea Week

This Afternoon Tea Week (14th-20th August), premium tea brand JING Tea is partnering with Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane and its acclaimed Garden Tea, to launch a limited-edition Fruit and Floral afternoon tea experience in the heart of Mayfair.

The Experience

Anyone treating themselves to an afternoon tea at the hotel’s Amaranto Lounge will be given the opportunity to taste JING’s recently launched Fruit and Floral teas, as well as receiving a complimentary JING Explorer gift set containing samples of each of the four flavours. The light and refreshing tea range will be paired with ‘The Garden Tea’ menu, created by Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane in partnership with Chelsea Physic Garden; which includes a selection of sandwiches, scones and jams made from the finest seasonal ingredients grown in Chelsea Physic Garden.

The Tea

Unlike typical fruit and herbal infusions that typically deliver a tempting aroma, but a disappointing taste, JING’s Fruit and Floral teas have been two years in the making and are hand-crafted from the highest quality ingredients of real fruit, whole flowers, natural herbs and nothing else. They are expertly-dried using a revolutionary process to retain their essential oils and protect the strength of their supreme taste clarity – resulting in infusions that are bright and expressive on the palate. These natural flavours include Pineapple & Osmanthus, Raspberry & Rose, Strawberry & Rooibos and Green Apple & Hibiscus.

The Pairings

One of the menu’s signature sweet treats is ‘The Beehive’; a pastry combining oats, honey, blueberry and almonds with an almond cream hiding a liquid honey centre, partners perfectly with JING’s Pineapple & Osmanthus tea. The Tea is bursting with tropical pineapple aroma and delicate, floral notes and is sweet and thick, to beautifully complement the honeyed flavours of the dessert.

Another highlight of the menu includes the Wild Strawberry and Poppy Macarons and Head of Tea at JING, Tom Price, recommends pairing this sweet delight with JING’s Green Apple & Hibiscus tea:
